Five Key Leadership Skills I Learned from Ryerson VP Julia Hanigsberg | Read My Article in the Globe

As a social media strategist, I often connect with senior executives to learn about their vision, leadership secrets and use of social media. One executive who does a great job at leveraging social media for thought leadership is Julia Hanigsberg, vice president of administration and finance at Ryerson University. I learned a lot from spending time with Julia; most importantly, how critical it is for a leader to build a team they can rely on. Julia, who manages her own online presence, says that tools like Twitter provide her with a direct ear to the 50,000-person community at Ryerson. I wrote about the five key leadership skills that Julia shared with me in this article for the Globe and Mail's Careers section.

I help professionals and executives leverage social media to advance their careers and enhance their personal brand.
